Description
A sport of Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. Has green leaves and a yellow border and wider white dividing line than parent plant. Another added member of the popular and beautiful Strip Tease line of hostas. Lavender flowers late July into August. Matures 15 inches tall and 30 inches wide. Zones 3-9.
Note: Hostas-Store specializes in Striptease family of sports. My main goal is to become the best source to find the most varieties of these types of hostas. In MN where we grow this family of hostas, they grow fast in full sun and with little leaf burning. There are a few, and only a few of these varieties that barely grow. Example is T-Dawg. If the price is high, it is because it grows slow and/or currently rare and new to the market. If I can divide at a rapid rate, check back in a few years and the price will come down. Hostas like Eros, Erotica, Snake Eyes Original Stock, those are always in high demand and prices will remain high. Striptease family of hostas, a few varieties have been tissue cultured with limited success. Some fail. Middle of the road example: Snake Eyes in the lab had plants revert all green, a new thin white line center sport, and a percentage that tissue cultured correctly. I now only sell Original Stock of Snake Eyes, as I was told by Bob Solberg himself, looking at my divided plants, Snake Eyes, there are few left that look like Snake Eyes original plant. And he confirmed mine do look correct.
