Description
A sport of Captain Kirk. Outer third of leaf emerges white and later turns greenish-yellow. As it is doing this, the veins are green. Leaf center has various shades of mottled green and yellow. Basically goes through all kinds of color changes during the growing season. When leaves peak in color, a beautiful watermark is present! This hosta is similar to Captains Adventure, another similar sport that is in high demand and very popular from hosta collectors. Differs where this plant matures with a little larger leaves, little larger plant, and the white border is larger. Pale lavender flowers mid July to mid August. Matures 15 inches high and 26 inches wide. Registered in 2017 by a new breeder, Charles Kwick. Currently very rare and currently can only be purchased from the Hostas-Store. Zones 3-9.
