Chris’ China Star Hosta

Description

A new hybridizer Christina Brinkmann, from Germany, introduces a seedling from China Girl hosta. Has pointed bright yellow and very glossy leaves held on deep red petioles. Leaf edges are wavy and the red shoots right up the center vein. Foliage turns more green in summer. Late summer the leaves begin to blush red! Very unique as First Blush hosta blushes red early in the spring, this hosta does the opposite and blushes in late season. Dark violed flowers appear late summer. Matures about a medium and more information on size will come later when we know more about the hosta. Zones 3-9.
