Intense yellow early and slowly changes to chartreuse. Finally changes to pale chartreuse with visible green veins. Lavender flowers in late summer. Matures 9 inches high and 18 inches wide. A hostas-Store original. Hosta Hacksaw open pollinated seedling. Zones 3-9.
HOW THE HOSTA GOT ITS NAME: I drew a blank on names. So I though I would just use the letter “Z” to start the name of the hosta, as we all know there are few words that start with z. Then Zippity Doo Dah from the Disney movie came to my mind. Already spoken for. So I just rattled off a strange name that rhymes with the song.
