Description
This large hosta displays arching wedge shaped green leaves sporting irregular margins of yellow which turn to cream as the season progresses. Pale lavender flowers midsummer. One of the most admired forms in the shade landscape. It is outstanding used as a specimen or as a background planting. My personal opinion is that this is that this hosta is one of the best hostas I have ever seen. At least for its size and outstanding color combined in the garden! An older plant towers over my Honeybells patch, which are also large hostas. And in the shade, especially the first half of the season, the color almost glows in the dark. Light to medium shade. This hosta had been documented as… one of the most eye-catching variegated introductions. Grows to 65 inches wide and 27 inches tall. Zones 3-9.
